A New Dawn

Lost In The Wilderness

I've come to a powerful realisation: the closer you are to your breakthrough and fulfilling God's purpose for your life, the greater the challenges you'll face. I've experienced my fair share of setbacks, but I refuse to let them define me.

Life is driven by times and seasons. When you miss those key moments, you risk starting over, potentially wasting another decade or two trying to get back on track. I refuse to be disheartened by that reality.

This is my story, and it's a testament to resilience. It has been a journey filled with ups and downs, but I know that even in the toughest times, I can rely on God's grace. I often question why the Heavenly Father continues to support someone like me, but I recognise that His mercy knows no bounds.

Just when I thought I had learned all the lessons required to move forward, I encountered more obstacles. But I know they're not insurmountable. God has equipped me with an incredible support system; my wife who is my greatest ally.

She holds me accountable, and I've realised that many men make excuses, framing their partners as the nagging type when it's our stubbornness that often leads us astray. I refuse to be one of those men. When I ask myself, "How did I get here?"  I refuse to dwell on it. What matters is that I take responsibility for my actions and ensure I learn from my mistakes.

God is faithful, merciful, and just. Despite my shortcomings, He never stops reaching out to me, which brings me to my knees in repentance. I don't always understand my reactions, especially when I lash out at minor inconveniences, but I'm grateful for Christ's compassion. If God responded to every misstep, I'd be in a dire place by now.

What's even more motivating is that these struggles emerged just two months after I completed a forty-day fast and a month after a thirty-day vigil in June. It's a reminder that the enemy often attacks following our victories. Instead of intensifying my prayers, I let my guard down. I've learned from this, and I will not allow it to happen again.

I know that no one can navigate life's challenges alone; we need God's grace and unwavering faith to stay afloat. My failures don't define my journey; they are merely stepping stones. I refuse to let disappointment hold me back. Instead, I draw strength from my experiences, confident that grace has realigned my path and that I can act with purpose, bringing glory to God.

This is a time for assertive reflection, not regret. I want this message to resonate with anyone facing their challenges. Don't seek solace in unhealthy habits, as I mistakenly did recently.

I am free and empowered to move forward!

Kolawole Solomon

When my pen bleeds, expressions are kept close to my heart, and as it bleeds the words from deep within through my writings, I discover I have created art. I display a piece of my soul. This is my work, my blood, and it should be an object of pride, no matter how much it is criticized or praised.

Thank you for sharing, I liked the absolute vulnerability and emphasis of the hand and mercy of God consistently guiding us through inspite of our reactions. God bless you for sharing.
