Life is full of mysteries

Life Is A Mystery

Life is full of mysteries. The more you try to understand it, the more it seems to drift away from you. They say that the good die young, but does being cruel and heartless truly guarantee a longer life? And if it does, what is the ultimate purpose?

Our service to humanity gives true meaning to living, yet what is the essence of living for others when your own life is at stake? I can almost bet that this thought crosses the minds of every true believer trying to lead an impactful life. But is losing sleep so that others can sleep worth it?

As life embarks on a journey of self-discovery, people often lose sight of their true calling and the right to be. The more you attempt to understand the intricacies of life, the more likely you are to get entangled in its complexities. There is no guaranteed path to success; what works for one person may not work for another. Your best bet is to live each day as it comes and never leave Christ out of your life's journey, for storms will undoubtedly arise.

These storms can either break or make you, which further emphasises the mystery of life. I've seen couples married for years without a child to nurture and call their own, while some who were not wed have children running around their homes. In the end, children are a gift from God. Would you say He is unfair?

Similarly, I've seen couples who had children at a young age lose them later in life, while those who experienced years of barrenness before having children during menopause get to keep them. It's often not about how soon things happen, but how well they unfold. Even when things are going well, there's no guarantee they will stay that way. Life takes various paths and often has its ways of rerouting. There is no such thing as an estimated time of arrival (ETA), as many factors determine the destination while navigating life's journey.

The consolation, however, is that those who are fortunate enough to sail through life with the Creator of the universe often find a soft landing. I can assure you that there will be nights when you feel backed against the wall. There are no free handouts. Even with Jesus Christ in the boat, the disciples had to wrestle with the storm.

Storms will come, bridges may break, and time will pass, but if you allow God to be at the centre of it all, even when you feel like you are losing your life in the struggle, you'll still gain eternal glory.

As I conclude, my advice is this: don't try to understand life solely from your current perspective. Instead, focus on moving closer to the couch that provides a better view of life's adventures unfolding on the screen. Narratives are like footage of life that you can choose to air in the comfort of your home or gain a true understanding of the scenes by communing with your Maker in prayer.

Life is a mystery,

God is mysterious.

Unravel the journey with Him.

Kolawole Solomon

When my pen bleeds, expressions are kept close to my heart, and as it bleeds the words from deep within through my writings, I discover I have created art. I display a piece of my soul. This is my work, my blood, and it should be an object of pride, no matter how much it is criticized or praised.
