The Waiting Room

The Waiting Room

‘The Miracle of Life happens in the waiting room' - MaryAjagbe

In a conversation with my mum, she started to mention how each child she bore (she gave birth to five) had a peculiar birthing story. She mentioned how on one of the occasions while in the hospital, she labored for just 29 minutes and had given birth to one of my older siblings.

It was an incredible happening as many other waiting mothers in the labor room came to congratulate her. Some who had been there longer burst into tears and sent up prayers to God to also help them deliver theirs successfully.

As she was speaking, a lot of insights started to drop into my heart, and I will share them as they come.

One very great insight that dropped is “THE MIRACLE OF LIFE HAPPENS IN THE WAITING ROOM” What exactly does this even mean?

Many, just like me, I am certain you have heard ‘wait' so much, every time you see the word, you get angry.

The idea of waiting seems like an unending journey of frustration, for some people, you have, just like the waiting women in the delivery room, waited so much. Others that came in before you, have had their deliveries and moved on to the next and for you, dear reader, you feel stuck.

Hear this again and let it settle in your spirit… The Miracle of Life happens in the waiting room.  There is so much build-up happening while you wait.

The scripture Hebrews 11:10 comes to mind “For Abraham was waiting (expectantly) for the city which God has designed and built, the city with permanent foundations. It was faith that made Abraham able to become a father, even though he was too old and Sarah she could not have children. He trusted God to keep His promise''

Take the keywords in the above scripture to heart - waiting, faith, finished work, trust, and promise.

All the above mentioned are determinants of the birthing of that promise that God has spoken to your heart and that which you are waiting for.

Believe God for it, trust God for it, expect and it will happen for you dear reader!

Remember, the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off. You have hope and most importantly in the one who is' HOPE' Himself.
