No Wonder!

No Wonder!

I want to tell you about a particular girl.

I have always wondered why she walks the way she does.

Now, the way she walks isn't awkward at all, I do admire it, but it was just a bit strange.

The answer to the silent question as to why she walks the way she does came the day I saw her and her elder brother walking down the road.

No, it wasn't my first time seeing them walking together, but I had never really paid attention to how they walked.

But that very day, I took note of them and I realized they were walking the same way, just the same way.

Then I screamed, "No wonder!"

It all made sense then as to why she walks the way she does.

It wasn't that she was looking at her brother to see the way he walked so she could imitate him, no, it was just that she was always staying with him.

They were living together in one house, so it made sense as to why they had the same walking style.

I just remembered the incident today and what dropped in my mind was...

If we stay with Jesus, gradually we'd begin to transform into His image, and slowly we'd become like Him.

"All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of His face. And so, we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like Him."

We have to be locked up with Jesus, having communion with Him daily before we can look like Him.

We have to dwell in His house and abide in His presence before we can look like Him.

Praying, reading the Bible, fasting and so on are what will take us into God's presence.

So, dear fellow who wants to be like Jesus...

What is your prayer life like?

How is your Bible study life?

Do you fast at all? (It's a spiritual exercise. It weakens your flesh and strengthens your spirit.)

Do you fellowship with God's people?

Do you abide in God's presence?

Do you dwell in His house?

This is a question you must answer.

This is a question I must answer.

Let's answer this question honestly and trust the Lord to help us from whatever level we are right now to the level He wants us to be.

So, let's examine ourselves.

Blessings!
