I'm Mobolaji Olayinka, a lover of Christ, Music and Art, a recording Artist (Singer and Songwriter), Wife and Mother of two beautiful Nations. I was born to praise and worship Jesus. I'm totally sold out to Him.
I was born in Ikere Ekiti in Ekiti state. I'm the last born of six children. I lost my dearest Mum in 2004… my salvation story will never be complete without her.
I attended Community High school, Ojodu, graduated in 1998, also had a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the University of Ado Ekiti and graduated in 2001. Then I went to the Lagos State University to study Industrial Relations and Personnel Management and graduated in 2009.
I grew up in Lagos...
My childhood was not a rosy one. I grew up with my mum who was a single mother with six children, so you can imagine how it was. There was a time I had to hawk bread just to assist her and you know, I also had plenty of garri and so on. It was indeed an experience, but I give all the glory to God because even at that time, God knew my future… so that's a glimpse into my childhood.
I met the Lord at a very young age, I think between 5-8, but what I cannot forget was the feeling I had which was his PRESENCE. so sweet and I could recognize it, even at that age. I mean, the spirit came upon me and I started speaking in tongues....trust me, I can't explain it but I can never forget either.Â
At some point, peer pressure came while in secondary school and almost all through my University days but I encountered God again because of a good Godly mother that I had of blessed memory, she was always reminding me of who I am in Christ and how much #Jesus loves me.
The journey has been awesome, the #HolySpirit has been my guide and has helped me to grow tremendously, it's been from glory to glory, though there have been low and high times... moments when men, influence, connections, money and other factors of life fails you, eventually those were the things that made Jesus more real to me because He's always coming through.
My parting words for those going through what I went through before giving my life to Christ is to encourage you to open your heart to Jesus and let Him take His place in your heart because JESUS is love, life, hope, peace, joy and trust, He's everything you can ever need. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Thank you for believing in what Jesus is doing through Psalmos. Keep flourishing.
