choosing to believe that God is good

TRUST GOD

In our today's world of uncertainty and constant change, one message remains clear and timeless; TRUST GOD. It sounds simple, yet living it out is one of the greatest challenges and highest callings of faith.

WHAT DOES THE WORD TRUST GOD MEANS
To trust God means placing all our confidence or should I state placing our full confidence in his character, promises, and timing even when life doesn't make sense.
It is deciding or choosing to believe that God is good, faithful, and sovereign even when our circumstances suggest otherwise. Trusting God isn't a one-time decision, it's a daily surrender. it's waking up and choosing to believe that he is with you, guiding your steps even when you feel alone or confused. it's holding on when everything inside you wants to let go.

Although; to trust can be very difficult in a world where we are taught to rely on what we see, touch and control. We often associated trust with understanding but God doesn't always explains his ways.

The book of Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that:
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" declares the lord.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts".
God sees the full picture but we see a piece.

Some Biblical Examples Of People Who Trusted Are:
-Abraham: he trusted when he was ordered by God to leave his homeland without knowing he's destination.
-Joseph: he trusted God during betrayal, slavery, imprisonment and eventually he saw God's purpose for he's life unfold.
-Esther: trusted God with her life as she stepped before the king to save her people.
-Jesus: In the garden of Gethsemane, trusted the father's will over his own anguish.

What We Experience When We Trust In God.
-Peace
-Stop Striving
-Grow in faith
        "Proverbs 3:5-6"beautifully captures this call
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight.it isn't about having the answers but knowing the one who does it all.

How To Make Our Trust In God Stand Firm
-Spend time in his word
-Recall his past faithfulness
-Pray honestly
-Surround yourself with faith-builders
-Surrender daily.

Remember that trusting God doesn't means that you won't have questions.it means that you accepted, you're determined and you choose to believe in his unending love, his timing, and his plans even when you don't understand.

When life gets heavy; remember that God has never failed and he won't start now. Hold on, lean on, and trust.
