I think just like everyone else, for the longest time, I had always picked a tone from how we have shared and talked about the story of Mary and Martha, in fact we have portrayed it in a light that has got many even confused as to diminish or even cause comparison and as such created some level of imbalance.

Maybe this is not you, that's okay, flow with me.

So picture this, that Mary and Martha each represent a season and a state of heart

A posture that many like myself still struggle to settle.

The ability to know when to be still and sit, as well as the ability to move AROUND attending to matters.

The most important thing like Jesus said is in the perceiving of WHAT AND WHEN.

It's not everyday that Jesus goes to see Lazarus and family!

Hospitality and service is amazing when we fully have a note blend of PRESENCE even as we run through that which he has given and called us to

As you journey into a new year, what will it be for you?

Are your senses and mind locked in to whom has called you?

Are you aware of what the master needs from you per time?

Are you aware of his presence even as you wash the plates, clean the house, love on people, teach or even as you sit in that boardroom, talk with that customer or even as you go about your daily WORK?

The story of Mary and Martha I have come to see is not about comparisons about who, it's more a story hedging us into balance by the help of God.

The ability to discern what is MOST IMPORTANT and CHOOSE that on a day to day basis.

Oh you think it's that easy?

Well, by the help of the Holy Spirit it is.

Choose today to begin to highly esteem the PRESENCE of God, the PRESENCE of God is not limited to a space, or time.

It's an AWARENESS, a CONSCIOUSNESS of him who now resides within you.

The ONE who has made you his HOME.

I pray that as you begin your journey this 2025, that you decide to CHOOSE HIM who is of utmost importance even as you journey with him.
