God Says Yes

God Says Yes

For a very long time, I have believed a saying that has been passed down.

So I have heard it been said that God has 3 answers to prayers, Yes, No, and maybe.

Maybe you have heard it been said before or this is your first time.

Who told us that, is it even scriptural?

I mean, at the time when this was making rounds, it definitely felt like the cool thing to believe in because we have been praying and asking God for so many things, and for some reason, it seems like he has answered just a few on our prayer lists.

I am so sorry but really not so sorry to break that bubble of myth over your head and say to you that God says Yes.

God says yes? Really?

Yes, according to Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

The word of God clearly states that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you receive it and it will be yours.

The question then is why do we seem to think that our heavenly father who knows us and loves us most would want to withhold good things from us?

There are a few pointers I would like to help you understand;

1.     You have to know the will of God, how? By reading his word so that you can accurately know what promises he has released to you and what has been made available for you.

2.     You have to believe that WHATEVER you ask in prayer, he has answered you, he just is not a magician.

3.     You are the one to wait to receive the promise, and the bible talks about how Abraham wavered not in faith at the promises that God made to him.

4.     God is a good Father and we have accused him wrongly about so many things that we do not even properly understand but because we do not know or we have heard wrongly.

Have you ever heard of a father that loves his children and can afford anything but yet withholds it? The word of God says no good thing will he withhold from you.

So if he will not withhold good things from you, where did we get that belief from?

It is just as simple as my father owns a mansion with many cars, and I am just 10 years old, will he give me the key to a car to drive? Think about that.

The problem is never with God, it is with us and our understanding, our ignorance, and also our capacity and ability.

So if you want a car, are you old enough? Do you know how to drive? Do you have a license to drive?

If yes, it is just a matter of time, you will have a car. There is also the part where you do the work.

There are so many scriptures that talk about God answering us.

We are the ones in these categories;

1.     We do not ask

2.     When we ask we do not ask right

3.     We do not believe

4.     We are not patient to receive the promise, no pregnant woman gives birth at a month old instead of the allocated time, 9 months.

5.     Understand that there is a time for everything

6.     Stay till the promises of God are birthed.

I leave you with this truth about God’s heart for you.
