No Applause!

No Applause!

In a world that's constantly applauding and screaming accolades every corner, you stand, you would almost seem insignificant.

It would almost seem like you didn't exist.

One day, while I sat contemplating and comparing, I heard in my spirit, NO APPLAUSE!

What if the world never said well done?

What if the world never acknowledged you?

What if no one saw how much effort you continually put in at that work and say hey, you, take this raise?

What if all your posts on social media had just one like?

Just what if, you had no applause.

What would it be?

Would you still serve without the accolade?

Would you still run and do all that needs to be done?

Would you?

What if no one saw you while you helped someone cross the street?

What if no one saw you help that friend of yours or neighbor?

What if your boss at work didn't even look at you twice or forgot to say thank you for that which you did?

What would it be?

Would you still be and do just what needs to be done?

There's a healthy and unhealthy dose of needing acceptance and validation/appreciation from others for when you do something that could or would not be commended in man.

We all at different points in our lives have felt and still consistently feel this innate desire to be seen and applauded, especially with the noise in the world right now.

When is it unhealthy? When you DO and STAY expecting an accolade, or DO just because of an accolade.

Don't wait to do that which God has put in your heart to do, just because the last time you did, no one even liked the post.

Trust me, one day the world will go silent and the only applause that will matter is from the One that has called you to be and to do, and at that point that is all THAT MATTERS.

His work, His applause, your heart, and your willingness to do, even if no one saw or applauded you!

When my pen bleeds, expressions are kept close to my heart, and as it bleeds the words from deep within through my writings, I discover I have created art. I display a piece of my soul. This is my work, my blood, and it should be an object of pride, no matter how much it is criticized or praised.
