God Loves Happy Endings. This was the thought that dropped as I laid in bed minutes ago, thinking through a message I had heard minutes before about how Jesus is such a turner, he turns things around. I heard the words again, GOD LOVES HAPPY ENDINGS and instantly my mind started to look for some scriptural backing, which also came. The scripture that sat strongly in my mind is from Ecclesiastes 7 vs 8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. It is very easy to focus on now, seeing as now is all we see and have access to, but there is one who is LOVE himself and is an orchestrator of love stories. If for one minute I can switch your mind to the possibility of a great ending scripted to perfection by the greatest author ever, then sit inside this possibility even more and envisage that the faithfulness of God is too faithful to fail you. Yes, I know you have been disappointed one too many times, your heart feels numb, you feel hopeless, or even still feel a tiny tinge of hope, then let these words awaken you to a truth. God loves happy endings too, he sees what you do not see and he has made provision for that season of your life. Allow him work in you, allow him to heal you through his hope and truth, allow him walk you into the possibilities that exist ONLY in him,. He is still and forever will be THE BEST SELLING AUTHOR of a story that was concluded from before time began but yet is still unfolding, giving chances and second chances for redemption. How then could this author and finisher watch you float? Think about this! For a very long time, there is a narrative we have been sold, taught and believed . A narrative that has in some way made it look like a part of God's nature is to take away from us and never add anything to us. I can almost say this has eaten so deep into our hearts, lives and relationships and we just go with the flow. I have always loved happy endings. I still do. I will forever do. And I believe, the Holy Spirit used a statement of truth, that I was running with to lead me to an eternal truth. The truth I was not even willing to entertain until now. God loves happy endings . It is why he made the biggest provision of love for us ever. JESUS. He is called the author and finisher of our faith. He is not only concerned about our beginnings, he is also concerned about the end of that matter. This I believe is the reason why the LORD will allow temporary heartbreaks, to save us from damages that would end us. If you are single, hurting, recently heartbroken etc. Hear this, God loves happy endings too and he is doing everything behind the scenes to ensure a lasting testimony that will not only shift you but position you and help others come into this truth. So as you celebrate today, this valentines day, watch many celebrate their love and partners, celebrate with them even as you hold a belief that God writes the best love stories ever. Celebrate this life of yours and your love story too. Because indeed the end of a thing is better than the beginning. Beginnings are good, the in betweens are beautiful but the endings written and scripted by THE AUTHOR, are more breath-taking. God loves happy endings too, why would he give you a stone when you ask for bread? Happy Valentines day.
