We Are Not Promised The Next Minute - My Undeserved Testimony!

Today, regardless of what anyone thinks, I've finally realized that no one is promised the next minute except through grace. Man proposes, God disposes and my prayer is that His will for my life will continually overshadow mine.

And just before I move on, allow me to take a split second to thank the great God for sparing my life and giving me the great privilege of writing this piece. I like to call it 'my undeserved testimony' because lately, I haven't been the best son but even in our unfaithfulness, He remains faithful.

Isn't He such an awesome God??
For the past weeks, I've been struggling with my faith and that led me to talk with my Bishop, he made me realize it's just a phase we all go through as believers, and the higher we go spiritually, the higher the temptation and there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

However, the more I try to stay away from sin, the easier it has become to find warmth in its embrace. I'm losing myself, I thought, but quite frankly, I'm only growing stronger in the Lord and my faith has to be tested. Gold had to go through the hot furnace to become what it is, so yeah, I'm grateful for these past weeks.

Guess you now know why I thought I didn't deserve this testimony but unfortunately for the devil and fortunately for me, I'm a living testimony to the goodness of God.

Meanwhile, just before I go on to share my testimony, I want us to know it's okay for us to face these temptations. Truth is, we outrightly sense some kind of disconnect with our maker when we do face temptations, and the devil tries to condemn us and make us feel unworthy but that's just one of his tricks, don't fall for it.

However, when you do fall into temptation because you most likely will, just get on your feet and dust yourself up. Get back to your maker as fast as you can. Restitute your ways and ask God to help you and surely, He will.

Don't beat yourself up, it only makes it harder for you to stand up. It's a race and so many things are bound to happen on the way. How we finish is what matters in the end. Stumbling on your way a couple of times doesn't necessarily make you a bad son like I thought I was. I'm just a son who needed more grace to withstand the heat and come out stronger and indeed, I have.

As a matter of fact, the greatest men of God have fallen at some point in their Christian race and the beauty of it all is that God is always with us through it all, and if only we choose not to condemn ourselves but graciously beat the devil to his game, we always come out stronger and victorious and we end up looking good in the picture. God bless you

My Testimony
In the early hours of today, on my way to work, I got knocked down by a bike riding on a one-way. Meanwhile, a bus coming ahead was racing towards me at full speed, and to God be the glory, I got up so quickly, grabbed my phone and wallet, and ran to safety.

I seriously thought that was the end but even when all hope is lost, He always makes away. He made a way for me this morning and that I'll forever be grateful for.

I'm alive because I serve a living God who's ever faithful to His Word and I'll forever be a testimony to the world because He hasn't even started with me yet.

Just as His Word says, "though a thousand may fall on our side and ten thousand on our right hand, no evil shall befall us".

He's a faithful and just God.

Let's endeavor to connect ourselves to the Ultimate source, the Almighty God, Alpha, and Omega.

We are nothing without His grace. And as we do so, let's also remember to count our blessings and name them one by one. TESTIFY!!

When my pen bleeds, expressions are kept close to my heart, and as it bleeds the words from deep within through my writings, I discover I have created art. I display a piece of my soul. This is my work, my blood, and it should be an object of pride, no matter how much it is criticized or praised.
