Many Christians, Few Disciples

Many Christians, Few Disciples

It is NOT POSSIBLE to pattern your life after an atheist, or a nominal Christian, and be a follower of Christ Jesus. Many believers have done this and backslidden into a sorry state, but are unaware because they still attend a colourful church, are close to the pastor, speak Christianese.

You see, one of the reasons why there are many Christians, but so few disciples today; is because the concept of following Christ is no more as well understood, in many words of faith circles

Many probably feel that if you are born again and can speak in tongues, you have it made as a Christian, no matter what you do with the rest of your life or how you live.

Not true.

Jesus said to His disciples, to go and make disciples of all nations. DISCIPLES. From the word discipline. People who behave a certain way, who leave a certain way. Followers.

When you see real Muslims, you can tell they are Muslim.

When you see real Hindus, you can tell they are Hindu.

When you see real club guys, you can tell they are club guys - I mean, for instance, they have skin on their tattoo; not the other way round.

When you see marines or guys in the special forces, you can tell that these are battle-ready soldiers.

Did you know it used to be so with all Christians?

They were not just tongue-talkers. They were Life-livers.

They were not just born again. They were living again.

They were not just in Christ spiritually. They were following Christ physically.

I mean, people could tell that oh... These ones must be Christians.

Please read with me

Acts 9:1-2
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there WHO BELONGED TO THE WAY, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

They knew certain people who belonged to the Way

Who were followers of the Way?

Who walked a certain path called the Way?

Who lived a certain way?

Christian faith does not begin with following Christ. It begins with being in Christ; with receiving the Life of Christ. ... However, if we stop there, we will never know the Truth.

If He is your Life, and you are in Him living

And you want Him to be your truth, so that you are Him knowing

You must acknowledge Him as your Way

And in Him be following

Therefore, many who claim to have the Life have not been established in the Truth because, they have not come to terms with the fact that Jesus is also,

The Way.

When my pen bleeds, expressions are kept close to my heart, and as it bleeds the words from deep within through my writings, I discover I have created art. I display a piece of my soul. This is my work, my blood, and it should be an object of pride, no matter how much it is criticized or praised.
